摘要
Porous mullite ceramics were prepared by tert-butyl alcohol (TBA)-based gel-casting method. Effects of solids loading and sintering temperature on the microstructure, porosity, pore size distribution, compressive strength and thermal conductivity of porous mullite ceramics were investigated. The results show that the porosity decreases and the compressive strength increases with the increases of the sintering temperature. Porous mullite ceramics with the porosity of 71.7%, the average pore size of 3.49 μm and the thermal conductivity of 0.103 W/(m·K) are prepared when the solid loading and sintering temperature are 15% and 1350°C. The desigened microstructure and properties of porous mullite ceramics can be obtained via the adjustment of the sintering temperature and initial solid loading.
