Combining adaptive Kalman filtering and fuzzy control theory, a fuzzy adaptive Kalman filtering is proposed based on the statistics of t distribution constructed by residual deviation. A fuzzy controller for adjusting adaptive factor α is set up according to the statistic, which can balance the contribution of dynamics model information and observation information to the state estimates. At last, it is shown, by calculation and analysis, that the proposed adaptive filtering is feasible and effective.
