The development status of fault diagnosis and health monitoring of the three major components of wind turbine drive chain, namely composite blade, gearbox and generator, were reviewed.The research status and methods in this field were also summarized. The main fault characteristics, fault forms and diagnosis difficulties of composite blades, gearboxes and generators in wind power equipment were summarized, and the existing fault diagnosis and health monitoring methods for the three components were also systematically presented and compared.
