摘要
Vehicle Ad Hoc NETworks is generally shared info among vehicles through multi-hop routing. In city environment, information need to pass through several road sections during the transfer from the source node to the target node. Generally, data packets adopt direct wireless transfer on road sections that connected by wireless links. Otherwise, the method of carry and forward is used. This paper proposes a routing protocol called Shortest-Time-based Traffic Light routing (STTL) for urban vehicular communication with Traffic Light Considerations, whereby data packets are chosen direction of road with the least time delay of transfer and best connectivity based on wireless link that formed cyclically under the control of traffic light. The simulation result indicates that the proposed protocol has better performance in average delay and delivery ratio of data packets compared with VADD and GyTAR.
