摘要
In order to study the feasibility and validity of casing aspiration in controlling the tip leakage flow for the compressor cascade, comparison and analysis of the results of numerical investigations are performed on a highly-loaded axial compressor cascade in different controlling parameters of aspiration location and flow rate. The results show that casing aspiration can directly affect the structure and existing form of the tip leakage flow, and reduce the overall intensity and extent, thereby improving the cascade performance effectively. An optimum aspiration scheme which has a good control effect should cover the area including the onset point of tip leakage flow and its vicinity. The total loss coefficient is reduced by about 7.04% and 7.76% at the incidence of 0° and aspiration flow rate of 0.5%, respectively, for forepart and mid-part aspiration scheme. And further work showed that the aspiration rate has an upper critical value. A reasonable aspiration flow rate should be selected within the corresponding critical value range for different incidence conditions in order to control the tip leakage flow with a small aspiration. © 2020, Editorial Department of Journal of Propulsion Technology.
