摘要
The internal stator winding fault of synchronous generator, which is common and destructive, greatly affects the security of the generator and the power network. Therefore, it is important to detect the fault very effectively. While the detection for the internal stator winding fault in synchronous generator is always difficult. This paper has tried to apply a new method, i.e. Rescaled Range method and wavelet transform for the analysis of the fault. Considering the feature of the harmonic component in phase voltage or phase current which is caused by the fault of stator winding and the excellent localization characteristic of wavelet transform in time and frequency domain, the fault characteristic is obtained by calculating the fractal dimension of the transformed fault signal using the R/S method. This method provides a new idea for the detection of the internal stator winding fault in synchronous generator.
