摘要
Based on the electromagnetic boundary conditions and dispersion relations, the anomalous refraction and reflection properties of electromagnetic waves, which incident from the regular right handed medium into anisotropic metamaterial, are investigated. It is found that the refraction angles of the transmitted wave vector have apposite sign when the waves incident from the right banded medium into never cutoff metamaterial. The magnitude of refraction angle increases with the incident angle to a steady value, the influence of permeability tensors on the refraction angle is also studied. Furthermore, the anomalous total reflection in which the incident angle is smaller than the critical angles can occur for the anti-cutoff metamaterial. The omnidirectional total reflection always exists for the always cutoff metamaterial. Such properties will have potential applications in partial focusing and omnidirectional reflectors.
