Parameter sensitivity analysis of Al2O3-13%TiO2 composite ceramic coating thickness by electro-brush plating

For Al2O3-13%TiO2 (AT13) composite ceramic coating fabricated by electro-brush plating, the process parameters affecting coating thickness were evaluated and the sensitive factor was identified through the multi-parameter sensitivity analysis method. By central composite design experiment, the sensitivity function was established, the process parameters affecting coating thickness were analyzed and the result of sensitivity analysis was compared to the result of variance analysis. It is shown that plating head speed (SV*=4.3528) is the main parameter, followed by current (SI*=0.2893) and voltage (SU*=0.2492), and the result of sensitivity analysis is consistent with the analysis of variance; the method can be used to optimize the process parameters of composite ceramic coating by electro-brush plating.
