Vertical Frequency Limits of Simply Supported Beams with Spans of 24-64 m for High-Speed Railway with Speed of 400 km • h-1 and Above

For simply supported beams with the spans of 24, 32, 40, 48 and 64 m, and CR400AF China standard EMUs, the moving load train-bridge system models were established. The dynamic simulation calculations were carried out to analyze the dynamic responses of the beam body when EMUs with different speeds passed through simply supported beams with different frequencies and spans. Based on the requirements of allowable dynamic coefficient and the provisions of relative specifications, the vertical frequency limits of simply supported beams with large span range for high-speed railway with the speed of 400 km • h-1 and above were studied. Results show that the span order of simply supported beams with dynamic coefficients from large to small is 24, 32, 48, 40 and 64 m. The vertical frequency range of 5~7 Hz is the sensitive area of the dynamic response of beams. For CR400AF EMUs with the operating speed of 400 km • h-1, the vertical frequency limits of 24, 32, 40, 48 and 64 m simply supported beams are 6.0, 5.5, 2.7, 2.4 and 2.1 Hz, respectively. When the operating speed of CR400AF EMU is increased from 400 km • h-1 to 430 km • h-1, the vertical frequency limits of 24 and 32 m simply supported beams need to be increased by 0.5 Hz, while the vertical frequency limits of simply supported beams with the spans of 40 m and above stay the same. © 2021, Editorial Department of China Railway Science.
