GeoEast has always been fruitful in the seismic interpretation for conventional hydrocarbon exploration. However, as the exploration constantly goes deeper, unconventional hydrocarbon exploration attracts much attention in the industry. We use GeoEast for first time in seismic data interpretation for an unconventional hydrocarbon appraisal project in S area, South China, and obtain encouraging achievements. We give in this paper some interpretation results and discuss interpretation approaches provided by GeoEast.
