The effect of RE on intergranular corrosion of low Ni austenitic stainless steel in different heat treatment is researched by Cu-CuSO4-16%H2SO4 hot acid soaking method and electrochemical potentiokinetic reactivation. The result shows that the sample is most seriously corroded without RE. For the two groups of test steel, there is more corrosive sulcus sensitizing heat treatment 2 h at 750 than 650. From the Cu-CuSO4-16% H2SO4 hot acid soaking method and the EPR activating rate data, the intergranular corrosion resistance ability is the highest with 0.02% of La, and become worse with 0.04% of La. ©, 2015, Editorial Office of Chinese Rare Earths.
