Hydromagnetic heat and mass transfer in MHD flow through porous medium ofan incompressible, electrically conducting, viscous fluid past an infinite porous, non vertical plate is investigated under the following assumptions: (i) the permeability of the porous medium is constant (ii) the plate is subjected to a variable suction velocity (iii) a magnetic field of uniform strength is applied in the direction normal to the plate (iv) free stream, plate temperature and species concentration oscillate about a non zero constant mean. Motion, energy and concentration equations are solved by perturbation technique. The effects of the various parameters, entering into the problem, on the transient velocity, transient temperature and transient concentration arc depicted graphically while skin-friction coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number obtained in terms of' amplitude and phase angle are shown in tabular form followed by a discussion.
