摘要
Although both involve spatial data, relationship between GIS and Space Syntax software has not been well researched and using GIS data for Space Syntax analyses has not been an easy operation. In this research, newly developed software, "PASTA", which uses GIS data for Space Syntax analyses, is developed. PASTA is segment-analysis-based software and axial analysis can also be performed with automatically generated axial maps. PASTA handles both shape data and table data to makes full use of GIS data. Besides, the result is compared to handdrawn axial map to clarify characteristics and problems of using GIS data for spatial analysis.
