The soil physical properties depend on the size distribution and arrangement of the soil particles. Soil system includes solid, water and air phases. The interactive of phases affect the moisture transport and soil mechanic properties. In addition, the soil structure and texture are difficult to detail description through soil physical testing. In this paper, the box-counting dimension of fractal method is used to calculate the soil particles distribution dimension. The result shows that the fractal dimension method can be used as an index to describe the soil particles distribution property. The analog about spatial entities for numerical simulation to fractal dimension variation of different particle arrangement, explore its relationship between that and characteristic length for hydraulic conductivity. The results showed the significantly negative correlation between fractal dimension and soil porosity and the negative correlation between fractal dimension and hydraulic conductivity of the modeling experiment with reverse inference.
