With development of data mining technology, the decision tree technology is growing rapidly to be completely mature, and building an education decision support system seems more and more important for decision-making and management of educators. This paper constructs the architecture of an education decision support system based on data warehouse and decision tree, which consists of data source layer, data warehouse layer, decision supporting layer, and client. The decision support layer of this system is achieved by advanced C4.5 algorithm, so it can deal with missing attribute values, continuous attribute values and avoid the inherent bias of information gain measure. Finally, the education decision support system is applied to analyzing the score of computer foundation course, and building an effective classification model. Through analyzing the result, the system gives a scientific class-dividing method, and this system could be used by related education management department.
