Based on the current status of on-line state monitoring technology for high voltage circuit breaker and combined with real conditions of Yanbian power bureau, a real-time operating state monitoring system is designed. Its structure and basic components are introduced. The waveforms of coil current are analyzed. Monitoring modules for opening current and vibration waveform are designed. The real-time monitoring unit is constructed with single-chip 80C196 as its core. The monitoring information is uploaded to master computer via RS-485 serial communication bus.
