摘要
The effects of ordinary corundum sand addition amount and sintering temperature on the thermal shock resistance of 99 alumina ceramics were studied in this paper. The microstructures were validated by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The 99 alumina plates, with the content of ordinary corundum sand 20wt%, 40wt% and 60wt%, respectively, were formed by dry pressing (DP) at 100 MPa and the different contents DP plates were formed by cold isostatic pressing (CIP) at 150 MPa. The samples after drying were sintered by pressureless sintering at 1580 , 1620 and 1660 , respectively. The results show that adding the ordinary corundum sand can improve the thermal shock resistance of 99 alumina plates, and thermal shock resistance increases with the increase of the content of ordinary corundum sand. When the content of ordinary corundum sand is 40wt% and the sintering temperature is 1620 , the thermal shock resistance of 99 alumina plate is best after CIP at 150 MPa. At this time, the bending strength is 126.5 MPa. And Weibull modulus reaches to 13.7 by Weibull distribution analysis, indicating that the plates have good serviceability. ©, 2015, Chinese Ceramic Society. All right reserved.
