摘要
In order to settle the problem in accurately calculating the improved winding function (IWF), an algorithm for calculating the IWF based on finite element method (FEM) was proposed. According to the algorithm and the superposition principle, the IWF characteristics of one coil and one phase winding in the multiphase alternator were analyzed. Based on these characteristics, the distribution of the air-gap magneto motive force (MMF) and the air-gap inductances of the multiphase alternator were studied. It can be concluded from the results that, the difference between the IWF and the winding function (WF) is a function related to the structure of the multiphase alternator. When the alternator is under the normal operation condition, the function generally contain only even harmonics, and have an influence on the calculation of the air-gap MMF distribution, which has a further impact on the harmonic components of the d-axis and q-axis inductance curves, and a little impact on the dc components of the d-axis and q-axis inductance curves, which can be ignored basically. ©, 2015, Editorial Department of Electric Machines and Control.
