Characterization of high-quality large cubic diamond crystals

With observation of color uniformity, Micro-Raman spectroscopy and Micro-infrared spectroscopy measurements, the characterization is carried out on high-quality large cubic diamond crystal samples grown by temperature gradient method under HPHT in our lab, and the measurement results are compared with these of diamond samples from Element Six and Japan Sumitomo Corporations. In view of color uniformity, the yellow color of our samples is more uniform, and in the sample of Element Six, near-colorless {110} growth sectors could be observed clearly. The Raman FWHW of 1332 cm-1 peak of our diamond sample is smaller than that of Elment Six, but bigger than that of Sumitomo. The nitrogen content of our diamond samples is about 240ppm, much higher than that of sumitomos and element six's, and maybe, it is related directly to the highest growth rate of our diamond samples.
