Accuracy estimation is an important part in linear parameter processing, and cumulative-sum method is a new method for linear parameter processing. The fundamental concept of this method and principle of its application in linear parameter estimation are introduced. The computing procedure and formulas of accuracy estimation in equal accuracy measurement are proposed. With an example of the length and linear expansion coefficient measurement of a copper bar, the accuracy is estimated. The results show that the computing procedure is simple and convenient, and the formulas are correct. In the unequal accuracy measurement, the data can be converted into equal accuracy data.
