摘要
Industrial robots play a central role in the flexible automation of production systems. However, engineering such increasingly complex systems becomes more difficult by the use of specialized and often manufacturer-specific control and simulation solutions. This article points out the requirements which open control and simulation platforms have to fulfill in the future to enable end-to-end engineering from requirements analysis through to operation. A case study exemplifies how such a solution can be implemented by using open industrial components. © 2024, VDI Fachmedien GmBH & Co. KG. All rights reserved.
