The effect of limestone powder on compressive strength and drying shrinkage of C30 mixed sand concrete was studied, and the corresponding mechanism was analyzed by the evaporable water test and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results indicate that the appropriate limestone powder can increase the early compressive strength of mixed sand concrete, and drying shrinkage of mixed sand concrete increases with the increase of limestone powder. Limestone powder improves the pore structure and refines the aperture. When limestone powder is applied to prepare C30 mixed sand concrete, its content should not be more than 15% based on compressive strength and drying shrinkage. © 2015 American Scientific Publishers All Rights Reserved.
