摘要
The Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants (POP) has been successfully adopted and enforced in May 2004. POP generally resides in the tissue of humans and other species and are small group of organic chemicals exhibiting the combined properties of persistence, bioaccumulation, toxicity, and long range environmental transport. This conference acknowledges that POP are transported by air and sea, resulting in increase concentration from the original site of use or release. The toolkit is a methodology which is intended to assist countries to establish release of inventories of PCDD/PCDF at national or regional level and it can be applied to all countries. Persistent toxic substances (PTS) are being presented and considered by the POP Review Committee (POPRC) and some compounds that are being used by POPRC as POP candidate are presented in Table 1(UNSC 2007) in accordance to the guidelines.
