摘要
Blockchain technologies have attracted the attention of multiple control, operation, and planning entities in the energy industry. Blockchain technologies, which allow a shared and distributed database, allow for secure, transparent, economic, and automated operations in power distribution systems. In this paper, we introduce how blockchains work and can be utilized to enhance the operation of power distribution systems. We discuss multiple scenarios in which blockchain technologies have been implemented in power distribution systems. Also, we discuss pertinent challenges for applying blockchain technologies to power distribution systems and provide some measures to manage these challenges. © 2020 Elsevier Inc.
