摘要
In order to realize on-line monitoring of outdoor insulation by measuring the leakage current on insulator surface, we studied how the leakage current was affected by a variety of factors under saturated moist condition. With a fully controlling the environment humidity in a large space, we observed the leakage current flowing through the insulator surface that got fully wet in different humidity through artificial pollution tests, and hence analyzed the influences of equivalent salt deposit density (ESDD) and ambient humidity on the leakage current. Moreover, we discussed the relationship between the leakage current and ambient humidity. It is concluded that the leakage current is closely related to the wetting process of insulator, and if there is no difference in temperature, the leakage current under saturated humidity can be calculated from that under low humidity through a linear relationship between leakage current and humidity. The calculation method is put forward and its valid condition is discussed.
