摘要
Regarding to the composites revolving shell in the field of aerospace industry, path and coverability for automatic fiber placement (AFP) were studied. An analytical algorithm about the AFP path was deduced base on the general revolved body of mathematical model. Furthermore, the unfavorable effect such as fiber overlaping or gaps was analyzed and coverability countermeasures were put forward, according to the characteristics of geodesic, which based on the corresponding relationship between fiber number and distance of adjacent placement path centerlines. On the above algorithm basis, CAD software of the composites revolving shell was developed under the CATIA V5R18 and the examples of verification were carried out. Experimental results show that the placement path generated had perfect effect and the revolving shell was covered uniformly, which can meet the process design and engineering requirements efficiently.
