There is special permeate leakage flux in the transverse flux permanent magnet linear machine (TFPMLM), because of the 3D flux distribution of TFPMLM. Accurate calculation of the axial permeate leakage flux is necessary to improve the precision of equivalent magnetic circuit method calculation. According to the feature of TFPMLM's flux path, the formation mechanism of permeate leakage flux was analyzed, then the analytical expression of axial lamination anisotropic permeate leakage flux was deduced, and relationship among permeate leakage flux and pole arc length was investigated. Finite element model and experimental equipment was built to prove that the method of permeate leakage flux calculation was correct and accurate. The achievement in this paper provides theoretical guidance for the linear oscillation generator design. ©, 2015, The editorial office of Transaction of China Electrotechnical Society.
