An incremental equilibrium equation was deduced for suspen-domes during prestress tension construction according to the theory of finite element method. Based on the equation, a servo-control construction method based on double control form-finding was proposed, taking the construction process and the friction of cable-strut joint into consideration, and the corresponding algorithm was established. By employing the algorithm, servo-control of the construction process can be realized and the configuration and cable force which agree with those in designed state respectively can be obtained with high accuracy. Servo-control of the construction process of an actual suspen-dome construction was studied, and the investigation shows the validity and practicability of the proposed algorithm. The method can also effectively control the construction process of the suspen-domes used in hoop-cable prestressing method.
