摘要：
The production technology centre berlin (PTZ) is home of the institute for machine toolsand factory management (IWF), technical University (TU), and the Fraunhofer Institute for production systems and design technology (IPK). This combination offers the possibility of joining basic research with industrial applications. The research activities of the department of Machine Tools are focused on the development of innovative production processes, the optimization of machine structures, sustainability of machine tools, safety-oriented construction of machines as well as Integrated Product Service Systems (IPS2).
