摘要
Here, numerical analysis method was used to analyze propagation characteristics of two different modes of Lamb wave, and their different characteristics were used to image and identify different types of damages in CFRP laminates. Imaging study was performed for damages using an imaging algorithm combining the delay and sum algorithm with the reconstruction algorithm for probability inspection of defects. Finally, the proposed algorithm was verified with experiments. The study showed that SO mode is more sensitive to crack damage in composite materials, while AO mode is more suitable for detecting delamination damage ; different modes of Lamb wave excite a damaged laminate, respectively and then damage detection results are imaged, respectively, damage types coexisting in a laminate can be identified according to different damage detections having different sensitivities ; based on the imaging results, the proposed method can effectively detect damages in composite materials, and determine damage types. © 2024 Chinese Vibration Engineering Society.
