The single compression of semi-solid AZ91D magnesium alloy which is made by Strain-Induced Melt Activation (SI-MA) process is forced. The effects of different parameters on the compressive flow stress of semi-solid AZ91D magnesium alloy are studied. It is found that the flow stress is not only the function of strain and temperature, but also is the function of strain rate. A viscidity-plastic deformation constitutive equation has been established by regression method, which will establish the foundation of finite element simulation theory.
