The selection of appropriate CNC hardware and software is critical for manufacturers to make significant productivity improvements. An optimal CNC offer users a flexible system that can be easily programmed to handle parts on equipment ranging from simple three-axis mills to more complex multi-axis machine tools. High-performance CNC system from Bosch Rexroth Corp. provide users a wide range of capabilities for many machining applications. The Bosch MTX compact CNC incorporates an Intel-based 500-MHz CPU in a compact format designed for a cabinet mount. This MTX system is a multichannel control, allowing different channels to perform different jobs. Software development on Bosch Rexroth's CNC applications involve .NET and XML-based packages for turnkey operations. Siemens has also displayed its updated ShopMill and ShopTurn software packages for the Sinumerik line of controls and SinuTrain CNC training package, which helps users of Sinumerik controls operate at higher efficiencies.
