A model for a SCR and a floating platform to be treated as an integral system was proposed here. A computer code was developed based on the cable dynamic analysis program CABLE3D. The motion response of the SCR under the action of the floating platform and its effects on the motion of the platform were calculated using both the coupled method and the integrated analysis method in time domain. The results showed that the integrated model factually reflects dynamic effects between the SCR and the floating platform, and the SCR has a certain effect on the response amplitude of the platform.
