摘要：
All kinds of soft-start schemes for electric machines are discussed and compared. A new magnetically controllable reactor soft-start scheme is proposed. During starting, the MCR is in series with the motor, which can ensure starting smoothly. The soft-start of the motor according to different load requirements, can effectively reduce the start inrush to the connecting power network.
