摘要：

This paper studies rough sets by means of extending an indiscernible relation to a morphological dilation. The fundamental properties of rough sets are investigated. In particular, the definability of morphological rough approximation operators is studied. It is shown that the new rough set model is an extension of existing ones, and more definite knowledge can be mined out with its applications. Hence the efficiency of data analysis is enhanced.
