摘要
An electronic after-sales support system introduced by Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co, (MES), and, subsidiary company MES Technoservice Co, is discussed. The electronic Global Internet Customer Support (e-GICS) system is an Internet serrvice with ASP (Application Service Provider) configuration enabling users immediate access 24/7. e-GICS facilitates performance diagnosis of a main engine, and in-depth analysis of all related critical components, a wealth of technical information and a means of interfacing with MES via an inbuilt Q&A function. The system also incorporates a 'quick order' service providing assistance with maintenance and in-life programs. The incorporates provides four main functions including Performance Diagnosis, Maintenance diagnosis, Electronic Order System, Q&A System.
