摘要
In order to ensure that the stability of underground overburden strata at goaf, the supporting mechanism and mechanical characteristics of the artificial pillars are studied for metal mine. The systematic study is done in stress and displacement changes of artificial pillar itself. The results demonstrate that the tension and compression stress for artificial pillar is very small and far less than the corresponding their strength. As the maximum tension and compression stress comes to 3.54MPa for supporting overburden strata, far below 7.5MPa, no destruction occurs in overburden strata supporting. The displacement of artificial pillar reaches around 3.5mm finally although instantaneous settlement displacement happens in mining production. This doesn't affect the stability of artificial pillar and overburden strata at goaf. However, the real-time monitoring should be done for stability of artificial pillar if necessary during mining. © 2015 ejge.
