摘要
The diamine monomer 6-(4-amino-2-trifluoromethyl) phenoxy-1-[4-(4-amino-2-trifluoromethyl) phenoxy] phenyl-1, 3, 3- trimethyl indene containing asymmetric indane structure was synthesized with bisphenol A. A series of polyimides containing indane structure were prepared with five commercial aromatic dianhydrides via chemical imidization. The structures of the monomer and polymers were confirmed by FT-IR and NMR, and the properties of these polymers were characterized by solubility testing, UV-vis, DSC, TGA, etc. The results show that these polyimides have excellent solubility even in low boiling solvents such as CHCl3, CH2Cl2, THF and acetone. The films show excellent optical properties in the range of 450 nm to 760 nm, and the transmittance at 550 nm is up to 88.1%. These polyimides display good thermal properties, their glass transition temperature ranges from 228 ℃ to 265 ℃ and 5% mass loss temperature is up to 484~520 ℃. The films also show good mechanical properties, and the tensile strength, elastic modulus and elongation at break are in the range of 75.8~92.5 MPa, 1.3~2.0 GPa, 3.2%~10.8%, respectively. © 2020, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering.
