摘要
Thales Air Defence assembly operation is planning to develop products for the automotive sector that can compete in the demanding global markets. It has developed a weapon named the Starstreak that contains a two-stage rocket motor and the missile is launched from its shoulder or vehicle-mounted launcher. It has a speed of three 1 kg darts that separate from the missile and fly to the target under their own momentum and the darts are guided by using a beam radar system and the missile operator also projects a coded laser grid at the target. A rear-facing camera in each dart detects the grid and instructs the dart's guidance system to move closer to its center and finally striking the target. The company is looking towards its new product named lightweight Multirole Missile (LMM) that is more accurate, usable against a wider range of targets and is cheaper.
