摘要
This study presents the transformation of a well recognized membrane material, poly(vinylamine), into a porous adsorbent tailored for direct air capture applications. A scalable synthesis method utilizing water as a solvent was developed to produce cross-linked porous polyvinylamine (PPVAm) sorbents. Stable CO2 capture capacity of 1.3 mmol/g at 400 ppm of CO2 was attained with good control over the amine functionality covalently bonded to the polymer backbone. Significantly, this sorbent demonstrated efficient low-temperature regeneration capabilities, thereby further enhancing its practical applicability for carbon capture processes.
