摘要
In order to widen the voltage gain of LLC resonant converter, a five-level LLC resonant converter is proposed, which is composed of two three-level(TL) bridge arms, main/auxiliary transformers, resonant elements and a set of rectifier bridges. The DC side and AC side of the two TL bridge arms are in parallel connection and serial connection respectively. The two TL bridge arms operate in frequency modulation or phase shifting mode. The low, medium and high voltage gain modes can be obtained according to output voltage requirements. In the low voltage gain mode, only the main arm circuit operates under the pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode. In the medium voltage gain mode, the main arm works in the fixed frequency mode, while the auxiliary arm operates in the fixed frequency + phase shifting mode. In the high voltage gain mode, the main and auxiliary arms work in the PFM mode at the same time. Compared with the traditional TL LLC resonant converter, the new circuit has lower circuit switching frequency at low voltage output. Using the same resonant parameters, it has a higher voltage gain and is more suitable for wide output range. Moreover, the operation principle of the proposed converter was clarified, and compared with the traditional topology. A prototype with 90~220 V output was built. The experimental data show that the efficiency of the new topology is 1.9% higher than that of the traditional topology in wide range under the low voltage gain mode, verifying the correctness of the theoretical analysis. © 2020, Harbin University of Science and Technology Publication.
