At present, most data transmission protocols do not make full use of the broadcast nature of wireless channels.To address this problem, this paper proposes a network coding based opportunistic routing protocol (NCOR).Firstly, by analyzing the end-to-end transmission cost of the network, a mechanism for constructing the optimal forwarding set is proposed to minimize the transmission cost.Then, NCOR performs cooperative coding transmission among nodes in the forwarding set to ensure transmission reliability.Finally, the transmission reliability of NCOR is analyzed theoretically.Simulation results show that NCOR can be applied to different link environments, and it can greatly reduce the network energy consumption while ensuring reliable transmission. © 2019, Chinese Institute of Electronics.
