摘要
Layered composite titanium alloy (LCTA) is a type of advanced material composed of various titanium alloys. The composition and property of LCTA change gradually along specific directions, which realizes the combination of various performances. The structural design of layered composite alloys is crucial to ensure formability and meet service requirements. Compared with traditional manufacturing technology, additive manufacturing has the advantages of flexible design, short trial production cycle, and easily forming complicated structure, which have been widely used to manufacture LCTA. In this paper, the direct bonding, composition transition and inter-layer transition structural design strategies of layered composite alloys were introduced, and the research progress of additive manufacturing LCTA, including laser-directed energy deposition, wire and arc additive manufacturing, and electron beam directed energy deposition were reviewed. In the final section, the future development of LCTA was also discussed based on transition layer structural optimization, heat treatment strategy exploration, residual stress control, and failure criteria establishment. © 2024 Central South University of Technology.
