An international government/industry team consisting of Alliant Techsystems (ATK), the US Navy (USN), the US Marine Corps (USMC), and the Italian Air Force has completed the Critical Design Review (CDR) of the AGM-88E Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM). AARGM is the latest member of the AGM-88 High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) series of weapons. It is a major USN acquisition program under the Program Executive Office, Strike Weapons & Unmanned Aviation. AARGM is a supersonic missile that will use a multisensor system based on a digital anti-radiation homing (ARH) receiver and conformal array antenna system, a millimeter wave terminal seeker, and a combined Global Positioning System and inertial navigation system (GPS/INS) to selectively engage enemy enemy air-defense targets and a variety of time-sensitive strike targets.
