摘要
Based on a pellet model developed earlier, a fixed-bed reactor model for SO2 removal over CuO/Al2O3 sorbent-catalyst was developed. The SO2 removal behavior in the bed was discussed and the expression of the distribution of sulfur in the fixed-bed was given. The mathematical analysis from the model indicated that the sulfur distributions in the gas and the solid phases were identical; the utility of the bed decreases with increasing gas concentration and space velocity, but was not related with the length of bed. SO2 breakthrough curves predicted by the model fit experimental data well.
