Layered double metal hydroxides (LDHs) sheets grew on the surface of Fe3O4 by one-step method and two-step method, respectively. Fe3O4/LDHs composites were prepared. The effects of synthesized method on the morphology, size, crystallinity, magnetic property and adsorption property were investigated by X-ray diffraction, electron microscopic analysis, infrared spectrum and alternating gradient magnetometer. The equilibrium adsorption isotherm of Cr(VI) of LDHs and Fe3O4/LDHs composites were studied. The results show that Fe3O4/LDHs prepared by one-step method exhibites a better Cr(VI) adsorption and magnetic property. ©, 2015, Chinese Ceramic Society. All right reserved.
