Sparse nonnegative linear least squares (SNLLS) is an important optimization problem, which often appears in scientific and engineering applications. In this paper, we proposed an improved harmony search based on worst-best strategy (HSWB) for solving sparse nonnegative linear least squares problem. Numerical results are reported which demonstrate very good computational performance. © 2013 ICIC International.
