The use of IIoT platforms promises companies from the me-chanical and plant engineering sector new opportunities to increase efficiency in production. A successful selection of an IIoT platform requires a clear understanding of the goals and company-specific framework conditions. This article discusses a series of strategic questions within the framework of a methodical procedure that supports companies selecting an IIoT platform. © 2022, VDI Fachmedien GmBH & Co. KG.
