With the rapid development of our economy, the production is largely expanded and people’s living standard is greatly improved. However, energy consumption also brought us with many problems, which have been of wide concern by the whole world. To develop a low-carbon economy is an inevitable trend of solving the energy consumption problem for energy development. Moreover, the current energy utilization is not effective and there exists a high waste of natural resources, which increased the ecological pressure. Under the direction of low-carbon economy, the optimization of energy consumption structure can improve the energy utilization and protect the ecological environment. Based on lowcarbon economic paradigm, this paper uses AHP to calculate the energy structure optimization level to standardize the energy structure optimization and provide a reliable method. © Ning et al.; Licensee Bentham Open.
