Study of transient dynamic numerical simulation of cranktrain

By the research of multi-body dynamics of the cranktrain, not only the strength, fatigue and lubrication properties can be predicted, but also the structural-borne noise of the engine can be predicted with the vibration property of the engine surface. The study of the cranktrain dynamics is the integrated multi-discipline field. In the paper, the numerical model of the cranktrain has been established with the sub-structural finite element method and the hydrodynamics lubrication theory. The dynamic simulation of some cranktrain has been done. The intensity and lubricant property of the cranktrain has been analyzed according to the results. The results show that this method can be used to design and improved the cranktrains.
